Standing In The Rain

Standing in the rain I gave her a kiss good bye
In the falling rain a tear dropped from her eye
I made a promise that filled her face with concern
I promised my dearest love, that quickly I would return
My heart was filled with much regret as I entered the train
Seeing her standing there soaking wet in the pouring rain
Soon my love this long war will pass
Once it's all over I will be with you at last
I arrived home today to find all is not right
I saw something standing in the cold rainy night
It was my love in the field covered in red
Dear god it was her but now she's undead
